Fleur de Blieck is an artist from Nijmegen, The Netherlands, born in 1994. She likes to tell stories with her art, using a colourfull combination of fine details and graphic elements to create a fairytale-like atmosphere. She starts her concepts digitally and translates them into handmade paint, searching for an interaction between the story and the material.
Fleur has always loved fairytales and creating stories. It was only after chronic fatigue syndrome put an end to her studies of philosophy at the Radbout University that she picked up painting. It was her way to ‘escape reality and lift curses’.
In 2018 she finished the Art and Crafts Academy, an education focused on the making of paint.
In 2019 Fleur was a contestant of the Dutch tv-program Project Rembrandt, where she made it to the final 6.
